Fifty Shades Of Grey by O.P.I - Review and Swatches

For every fan of Mr.Grey, maybe these polishes are for you.
Make sure this O.P.I Fifty Shades Of Grey are now already on your shelf. But if they're not, maybe you should read my review and consider to get them by yourself.

For me, i got this polishes from an online shop here in Indonesia, i bought them on Instagram from @thepolish_id. I dont remember about the price but i think the price is quiet fair for an online shop and because O.P.I Products cant be easily found here in my town so i decided to buy online.

So before i review them, here i introduce you the content of the products:

O.P.I Minis 'Fifty Shade Of Grey' Collections
- My Silk Tie
- Dark Side Of The Mood
- Romantically Involved
- Embrace The Gray
- Shine For Me
- Cement The Deal

Each color represent different detail from the movie. I really adore the story but when they make the movie, i think it's a little bit disappointing. If you haven't read the novel or any synopsis about the movie, it will make you confused. But what i really think that make the movie not as good as the novel is that every character isn't played well by the actor and actress. Mr. Grey isn't as charming and perfect as the novel told about him. And Anastasia's act is the worst. It's not that i'm a good actress or what but if you watch the movie you will know why i said so.. I'm so dissapointed and i hope in the next movie (Fifty Shade Darker) Dakota already improve her acting skills.

Andddd back to the polishes!
Here let me give you review of each

------------------------------------------------------------------

My Silk Tie
i think this color inspired by Mr.Grey's favorite tie to bind his subs. It's also Ana's favorite and oftenly appeared in the movie.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Dark Side Of The Mood
this color is so dark and describe the dark side of Mr.Grey. The abuse that he got when he was a little child make him a sadist that lead him being a dominant on his sex life. This color is a dark grey, well, the name explain a lot.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Romantically Involved
the blood red color inspired by the Red Room of Pain of Mr.Grey. The room are so 'red' and, well, you should watch the movie by yourself because it's quiet hard for me to explain in words ;)

------------------------------------------------------------------

Embrace The Gray
nobody ever really close with Grey's heart. And until the time Ana came and everything's change. She embrace the gray side of Mr.Grey. She make him do romance. Now you really want to watch the movie, wont you? Maybe i should suggest you to read the novel, maybe just read the novel.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Shine For Me
The dazzling grey give you a romantic nail color but in another hand it also feels so cold and pretty. This polish is a sheer color so i suggest you to apply a base color first then apply this as a top coat. This time i have Cement The Deal as the base coat so it looks like a light sparkling grey. I think this polish inspired by how sparkling Ana's life after she met Grey. And so does Grey's.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Cement The Deal
Maybe some of you already know about The Deal that Ana and Mr.Grey have. Maybe this polish inspired by it. It's a contract about their Subs-Dom Relationship which ended up she never sign it. And in the next novel you will know that........... (i'm so kind that i wont give you any spoiler this time, you should thank me because i'm usually a spoiler-ghost :p)

------------------------------------------------------------------

So, which color is your favorite?
I really love Cement The Deal and Shine For Me.
But if you once try Pelican Grey from Chine Glaze you might feels that Cement The Deal is quiet similar with Pelican Grey.
And i think both of them have the same quality so it's all only about the brand.

I'm trying to do some nailart with these collection and it ended up like this (it's a super quick mani so i hope it doesnt look that bad) :p

------------------------------------------------------------------

And do you guys curious about the next of this trilogy?
I've just finished read Fifty Shade Darker and maybe..... i'll review it on the next couple post (i told ya i'm a spoiler ghost :p) but i'm will not only review about the novel but i'll also bring my latest vacation in Singapore which i also brought the novel along with me as a companion when i'm waiting every flight.

See you later!

O.P.I Sheer Tints - Review & Swap

This O.P.I Sheer Tints has already been inside my polish rack for almost 20 weeks, it's almost 5-6 months ago since the first time i got it and loved it at the first sight <3
I got it from local online shop @ratukutek. They have a very complete collection of any brand of polishes. You can check their website and instagram for further informations.

Back to this Sheer Tints polish by O.P.I, maybe i can recommend you to have this especially if you are a big fan of ombre or any tinted nailart. Because with this sheer-tints polish you can do ombre wayyyy easier that using a 'regular' polish which you may need sponge to help you do the ombre.

At first, i was falling in love with the packaging. It's so simple but has every detail of the products especially it has pictures on the side of the packaging that show us what can we do with the polish, i mean it show some tricks that you can do with the polish for your nails.

This O.P.I Sheer Tints polish has 4 beautiful colour. And if you ask me which one is my favorite. Honestly i can't tell because they are all have their own beauty. The Violet, Amber, Magenta, and Teal are too beautiful to be compared each other. I also think they're way perfect if they're applied together on one nail. Here they are :

And with this sheer tints i already do sooo many nailart and manicure but basically i have 2 kind of nailart that i usually do with this polish, they are : watercolor nails & ombre nails.
And they're soooo easy so  that you can do it by only 2 kind of nail polish. It's the base polish & O.P.I Sheer Tints.

1. Water Color Nailart by O.P.I Sheer Tints

*sorry for the nail-torial, i was having a nailart on my nails right now so that i can't do the tutorial but i hope these pictures above are clear enough lol :p

and this is how the water-color nailart done on my own nails...

2. Ombre Nailart by O.P.I Sheer Tints

Basically the ombre seems like the easiest one, you just need to apply the sheer polish layer by layer. But the difficult step is that you need to wait until the first layer dry enough so that you can apply another layer. Different with the watercolor nailart, you don't need to wait until the first color dried, the wet polish make the watercolor effect even better i think...

So this is the nail-torial (sorry just like the watercolor, i can't do the tutorial on my own nails so this is my nail-torial cartoon version :p)

It's gonna be fun to see another version and tricks or tips using this Sheer Tints polish from O.P.I so if you have another idea of using this i'm gonna be so glad to see your ;)

Do you all realize how the weather became very hot lately? Or is it just me? Whatever it is, i just feel that the weather (especially in Indonesia) is not only really hot during the day but also at the evening and it drives me crazy pffftt -______-

But beyond all the madness, this hot weather gave me inspiration for my manicure. I can imagine that every ice would melt in this temperature. Soooo, i made that on my nails. Yes, i made the melting ice on my nails. And because i need some sweetness for my nails, they're not only a melting ice but a melting ice creaaaaam! I applied different color for each nails and for the melted part i used white polish. And here they are my melting manicure..

And here they are, polishes and tools that i need to make em:

And are you guys curious about how did i make em?
Here i made you the step by step (as always i hope it's clear enough for you because i wont give any long description words)...

Last important information about the taste!
they are ----- thumb: Stawberry ice cream, and the rest are: mint, melon, grape, and orange! :p

Twist The Knot

Hellooo!
Finally it comes, the end of this year. So, what have you prepared for the new year eve? Hope you'll have a great great year ahead ;)

This time i'm gonna show you my new mani. I get the inspiration from pinterest anyway hehe. Such an adorable interlocking knots from finger to finger, very cuuute! I really like it since the first time i saw it. I also made my mani just like the examples that are already on pinterest's page, i use mint color and white, and black colors for the strap.

And these are my very own version of pasel-knotted-mani, please call my baby 'twist the knot' !

Mint - Jaded by Revlon | White - Alpine Snow by O.P.I. | Black line - Black dotting pen by FaceShop

And this is how i made my twisted knot mani :D

So easy, right? I'm pretty sure all of you can make it at home. Remember, you dont need to go to the nail-salon to make one like this. If you want to go to the salon ask for the complicated one, ok? hahahaha
You just need to try and practice..

Good luck and happy (early) new year, anyway! :D

The More The Marryier (Part 1): Layer By Layer

A few weeks ago, along with my OPI Bond-ettes package, my friend Lalaluna also sent another package.
Its name is The More The Marryier by OPI. There is only one word that can describe the contents of this package, they are.. mesmerizing!
I really like its color combination.. They are well suited to be combined with each other.
My favorite one is the adorable pink named Sweet Heart.

Aww i talked a lot, until i forgot to explain you all about the contents of this package hahaha

There are 4 bottles in this package, which contains 3 different colours and one top coat.
The colours are:
- Alpine Snow
- Princess Rules
- Sweet Heart

and a top coat that its inside is RapidDry Top Coat by OPI.

I made 2 mani at a time (because i'm tooooo excited!), and in this post i will show you one my work and this one is my first trial on using this polishes.

In this mani I made it with all the colours from this package.
And for the finishing i used RapidDry Top Coat.
Here is it, welcoming my new baby mani! :D

This mani is so simple yet easy to make.
You just need to apply Alpine Snow as the base colour, then apply Sweet Heart on half of your nails.. and after that use Princess Rule as the last layer on the tip of the nails.
Last, use RapidDry Top Coat :)

Bonded with The Skyfall

I never think that i'll have any interest into gleaming and glittering nail polish.

So, i decided to get one. And because O.P.I. products are difficult to be found in my town, i ordered em from my friends, Lalaluna, at Surabaya. And after 2 days, these babies came to my house and i tried em up on my nails just righ taway after they arrived, hahahaha :D

I tried The Spy Who Loved Me as the base colour on my nails, combined with Live And Let Die..

And for my toes, i used GoldenEye on my left toes and The World Is Not Enough on my right ones.
Somehow, i really love how these polishes faintly twinkling if i bring it closer to the light.
