Social (Manicure) Media

Nowadays everyone has social media accounts for any purposes suchas looking for new friends, maintaining long distance relationship, just for having fun, selling things, and even competing. Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Path, and Mavensay are used to be a media to connect one person with another so distance wont be a problem to maintain a relationship. But now, they're more like a media to connect one person with another so they can show each other what they have, where they have been, how pretty their dinner are, and i often read and see a person posts how many branded and luxurious goods their parents can bought them by saying "wow thanks mom/dad for this bla bla bla.." and never forget to attach the picture of it also with the certificate (seriously this point is the funniest).

Seriously, now those social networking sites don't even make people being a social minded person. Eveyone is becoming a brand-minded one and trying so hard just to impress people through online media. Making a situation where they think people may get jealous and think that their life is just perfect and flawless. But, think again, if everyone has the same idea about using these social medias, like how if everyone become too lazy to read or see what people post just because they're too busy preparing and post something that they think it may make people love or even want it? It will just become a big fault in communicating. We don't even know what others do because what we care is just how impressive our post is, how many likes will we got, how many new followers may come, and so on. We are sooner or later may forget the point of communicating, sharing, and exchanging opinions.

It's just some words i got in my head just right after i finished my social-media-manicure this dawn..
And its now time for you to see what i've done, this manicure consist of Path, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube. I was about making Instagram too but it was so hard and i got failed so many times so i make the Path-manicure on 2 nails..
Here they are!

Roses Are Red, wait.. Aren't They?

Hello, it seems like it's been a really long time after my latest post that i dont do any entry for my blog. It was a really hectic times that i should finish my final task :'(
So this time i will show you my very first attempt of rose manicure. Maybe so many of you have already try it or at least knowing how to make it, but i there's must be any of you that haven't, right? (i hope so :p) then, here they are, my babies with their rosie manicure..
p.s. They're contain of pastel colour such as mint and light purple as the basic colour, and the roses are not red, they're pink.

The polish that i choose as basic colour are Refresh Mint by China Glaze and You're Sucha Buddapest by O.P.I.
I prefer those colour than my other pastel colour because i love to see how the mint and light purple being together side by side but still can make a cute combination. And the mint colour is perfectly make the pink rose look much cuter (i think) hahaha
And to make the rose as the point of interest for my design, i choose white dots to make a balance here.

The polishes i used to make it are:
- Suzi's Hungary AGAIN! by OPI
- PK109 by The FaceShop
- Emerald by Revlon Nails Enamel
- White Dotting Pen by The FaceShop
- You're Sucha Buddapest by OPI
- Re-Fresh Mint by China Glaze

And this is the step by step, and as always, i still can't make a good tutorial video so this is the best i can do so far. I hope these pictures can help you to understand how to make the rose ;)
(i'm using the help of dotting tool and tiny brush to make it)

So, do you have the same steps to make the rose? Or you have another way to make it that way easier and can make a prettier rose? It's gonna be fun to share it to others, huh? So, let's do rose! :D

*anyway do you realise there's some additional watermark i put on each of my picture? I hope it won't disturb the pictures, pfftt.. I put it because i found some people use my blog pictures then post it on their instagram accounts without putting a credit on it. Maybe they're just randomly found my pictures, googling it, or whatever is that, so i hope this watermark will help them to at least knowing the source of the picture :) thx

May Nail Treatment with The FaceShop

Can you imagine how much days my nails spent using polishes? It's just tooo much, but i just cant stop :(
So the only way to make my nails stay healthy is treat em well and make it as a routine. And if i'm not mistaken, i've made a post about nail treatment before, right? (you can see it again HERE)

But this time it's gonna be a lil bit different because here i wont use a traditional (natural) ingredients like honey and baby soap (is that natural? Seriously, baby soap? hahaha) Yeay anyway, here i will introduce you my new best friend to keep my nails healthy everyday! It's now as natural as honey or something like that, buuuut.. this products are also come from nature, the difference is just they're already processed by a high technology without eliminate the 'natural' benefit inside.
So, let's just meet them!
My new besties come from The FaceShop. As what i said before, The FaceShop always come with its concept, Natural Story. That's why i really love their products ;)

And here they are some nail treatment products that i've tried to fix my damage nails so far. My nails' problems are like becoming yellow, dry, and also fragile because i apply polishes almost everyday before :(

Step 1 - make sure that your nails are free from any polish, then soak your fingers (nails) in warm water. It will make your nails and hands relaxed.

Step 2 - apply the FaceShop NAIL PACK by wrap your fingers (nails) with the pack. Choose the pack according to your nails problem. Since my nails are both yellow and fragile, so i use the LEMON BRIGHTENING for my yellowish nails and the MILK CALCIUM for my weak nails. Keep it for about 10-15 minutes.

Step 3 -  Use the STEP 01 NAIL TREATMENT, it will keep your nails shiny and it also helps to strengthen your nails.

Step 4 - before apply another polish on your nails, make sure that you've applied this one, FACESHOP BASE COAT as your basecoat. It have some different colors that dont give any different effect, colour, or even smell. They're all basecoat, they're just have different look-color that will be look the same after they're applied on the nails.

So, are you also interested to do the treatments? It's so easy, right?
Maybe i just wanna say this.. Before you start to love your nails, treat them well and they will love you too <3

Hello, it's been a really long time since my last post, huh? I really am sorry from my deepest heart that i dont do any post for a while because i've been being busy with my college final task. But here i am now with my experiment with............. Rhinestone!
Maybe many of you that have ever tried it before, but for me, it's my very first time using rhinestone. Rhinestone is a diamond simulant made from rock crystal, glass or acrylic. You can apply them onto your nails by using nails' glue. And to remove them, you can just easily using acetone.

So here they are my very first experiment using this lovely stone on my nails..

base colour - nail polish - dotting pen - base coat : The FaceShop ID | rhinestone : Kimkim Shop | nail glue : self collection / unbranded

Happy (Chinese) New Year!

Hello everyone!
Is there anyone who also celebrate new year tomorrow? If you do, so my nails are now officially sayin 'Gong Xi Fatt Chai" it's chinese language for 'Happy New Year!' :D
I made this in the middle of my almost-die-hours after my college time and before my bed time, so i hope it's fine for you that my mani isn't that neat :''(

I'm using OPI The Spy Who Loved Me for the red lampion and red base colour for the dragon pattern on my pointing and ring fingers. And for the white base i'm using OPI Alpine Snow.. Also for the symbol of luck on my pinky finger, it's also The Spy Who Loved Me. And especially for the thumb, OPI Golden Eye was used to be the base colour. So chinese! hahaha.. Here they are!

And now, it's time for my right hand. For the right hand i'm trying to make a combination between red and gold, it's still OPI The Spy Who Loved Me and Golden Eye, and for the white pattern, i'm using Dotting Pen by The FaceShop. Soooo lovin it!

Which hand do you think is best to represent the chinese new year atmosphere? Ummi hope my both hands are :p

And lemme remind you so you wont forget to use base coat because even though you're using a really great and safe polishes, when you use dark or kinda massive color like red, it's better to use base coat before the polish, and this time i'm using base coat from The FaceShop. Their basecoat is so unique because they have not only one color as the base coat but they have pink, mint, and also baby-blue. You can choose it randomly because they're just the same and when you applied it on your nails, the color wont be seen. And for me, of course i choose the pink one, lovely!

So, last but not least, happy new year!
Gong Xi!
